Molluscum Contagiosum or Genital Warts? (Photos and pictures)

Pretty much by total accident, some people have discovered that method #2 in my report also works on certain cases of molluscum contagiosum.

I wrote the report specifically based around how to get rid of genital warts. And that’s what most people get it for. However some people have written to me recently saying they mistook what they really had for warts, and in fact they actually had a condition called molluscum contagiosum all along.

Since warts and molluscum are somewhat related and a lot of people mistake them, I thought it would be helpful to do a write up on them.

Molluscum contagiosum looks like little round pimples, usually with hard waxy white cores. Trying to pop them usually results in bleeding and is not a good idea.

Like genital warts, molluscum contagiosum is a viral infection of the skin. MCV-1, MCV-2, MCV-3, and MCV-4 are the four types of virii that can produce moluscum bumps. MCV-1 is the most common and MCV-2 is the one seen in adults that is sexually transmitted. Moluscum can infect any part of the skin but the most common areas are the torso, arms and legs.

Also like genital warts, molluscum is highly contagious via direct skin to skin contact with the infected area. It’s contagious until the bumps are gone so getting rid of them FAST is the most important priority. Some researchers say they can go away on their own in a few months to 2 years, but who would want to wait that long for something that can spread like this?

The time from infection to the appearance of lesions ranges from 2 weeks to 6 months, with an average incubation period of 6 weeks.

Here are some molluscum contagiosum pictures and photos:

Anyway, hopefully now you’ve got a much better idea of the main differences in genital warts and molluscum contagiosum. I didn’t put photos of the warts on this page, because you can already see a lot of them on my genital warts pictures page.

In a future post I’ll write more about what people have e-mailed me when they accidentally discovered that method #2 in my report worked on certain cases of this condition.

Ok so i had a wart on the lower part of my penis awhile ago and i went to the clinic and it took two treatment of some acid and the is no sign of it. but me and my girlfriend are worried. the strange thing is i showed the Dr what i thought was a skin tag on my arm he said it was a wart to but i had that on my arm before i ever had sex. what i curious about is HPV i thought was a std and i did research and i found that warts are caused by HPV. I’m just confused and me and my girlfriend like everybody else like to have sex without a condom so when will i get to do that ago with her

    • Greg says:

      Hi Daniel,

Yes, it’s true that warts are caused by HPV. Thing is, there are around 100 different types of HPV – some cause genital warts, some just regular warts in different areas. Some are spread sexually, some aren’t. As for the timing and the effectiveness of other treatments, take a look at the nearby comment I left in response to a woman asking about when she and her boyfriend can have sex again and that should cover your question.

  2. E says:

Great images… Helped me identify moluscum on me.

  3. C says:

Hello Greg. I was diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum on my genital area in May. Since then i have not engaged in sexual contact and it is extremely depressing. I’ve tried cryotherapy which did nothing, immiquimod cream which I don’t even know if it’s working or not, and the worst, cantharidin. My dermatologist applied cantharidin to my penile molluscum and this gave me the secondary problem of scarring on my penis. Greg, how can I remove the tormenting molluscum? How can i get rid of the scarring on my penis? Please help Greg, please.

    • Greg says:

I’ve replied privately by email. Finally figured out the real solution to this molluscum problem after all this time.

      • John says:

Hello I have identified this same issue how did u treat them???

        • Greg says:

For years I did not know how to treat molluscum, but I finally figured it out through some personal trial and error (yes I know, I have some bad luck when it comes to getting skin infections, it seems) I am working on a separate report for a separate website on this. In the meantime, anyone who wants the molluscum info, I can prepare a special report on this for anyone who gets my warts report and video from my newer site here:

          http://www.genitalwartsformula.com/

          Thank you for your support.

      • M says:

How did you get rid of this ? I need to know !!
I haven’t slept with anyone and the doctor diagnosed me with it he froze some off but supper painful how can I quickly get rid of this please x
        Contact me via email please

      • O says:

Can you please send me the same reply, I need help getting rid of molluscum. Please help me,

        • Greg says:

          Hello,

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but there is no need to use this comment section as a way to talk to me privately – this is mainly for questions that would apply to anyone who may be reading. The best way is to just e-mail me using the site’s contact page and that will be faster and more private. Or you can just go to my newer site at http://www.genitalwartsformula.com/ and e-mail me from that site’s contact page as well. Thank you.

      • Sam Hahn says:

would love to have this solutiom shared with me as well.
i suspect i have contracted molluscum and i would like to remove them

        • Greg says:

          Hi Sam,

My molluscum report is available from its own site I made for it for $27, same as my warts report. However, if someone gets my warts report and later figures out they actually have molluscum instead, I will send the other for no additional charge.

          http://molluscumreport.com/

          Thank you,
          Greg
P.S. As of the time I’m writing this, my molluscum report site is not finished and is only a shell, however the report ordering and delivery system is working fine for anyone who wants to go ahead and get it before I finish the site out.

  4. AB says:

insightful. so how does one get this. my wife just gave birth and she doesnt have anything as such. i have not been with any other person since we started off our relationship. Also, how can this get treated without any side effects ?

  5. hunter says:

You posted pictures above of that have a “hard center.” What is the significance of these types? are these just ones that are going away/have scabbed? Are they infected? What is going on with them? I am wondering because some of mine look like that.

    • Greg says:

Now that I’ve actually had it myself, I can tell you that not all molluscum has a “hard center” like I originally read about online. They can also be like little round pimples that contain a white pasty substance that contains the actual virus. If the bump is broken and this white stuff is released, it can spread the molluscum to other areas like wildfire. It can literally spread overnight in this way. The longer the bump has existed on the skin, the more layers of skin it can have built around the white paste to protect it (the body is trying to contain the virus by layering a lot of skin around it.) Breaking open the bump is NOT the way to go about it. That will only make the situation worse.

      • Julie says:

Too late. I thought it was an ingrown hair! It was on my right shin. Now I have one on my torso right above my hooha. Is my husband a cheating bastard?

        • Greg says:

Molluscum is not necessarily sexually transmitted. There are a lot of different ways someone can get molluscum that have nothing to do with sexual contact. For example, children can even get it from public pools. If you think what you have is molluscum, then I would recommend giving my molluscum report a try at the link below – so far, it has worked for everyone I’ve been in contact with:

          http://molluscumreport.com/

  6. Herson Arias says:

So I went to the ER for an injury and while I was there asked the doctor about these bumps on my area she took a look and said it was gental warts the thing is that it would be impossible because I my partner was a Virgin (yes she was) but I am almost certain that shes wrong. Anyways I was wondering if she’s wrong because mine looks more similar to this. Also I’m sure that what I got is from shaving and not sex can Molluscum Contagiosum happen by having ?

    • Greg says:

Yes, molluscum can definitely spread by shaving – that actually happened in my case and it was maddening because in order to treat it well, you have to clear away some of the pubic hair and that will involve some degree of shaving and/or plucking away the hair in the worst areas. Molluscum contagiosum gets confused for warts A LOT, even by professionals who should know better. I don’t really know how to test for it at home specifically, but if you suspect it’s what you have, the best things I know of are in my new Molluscum Report, which I do not have a separate website for yet, but you can get by purchasing my warts report from my main site (not this one but GenitalWartsFormula.com) and then e-mailing me asking for it. I’ll send it to you manually. I spent a lot of money trying to get rid of molluscum on my own last year and this is basically my findings in a nutshell. In other words, I did NOT find this info online, but rather learned it through personal experience, which I consider to be a lot more valuable to people than just copying what others say and repeating it as truth (which in most cases, it is not, and people just end up passing around the same old info that doesn’t work because none of them actually tried it)

  7. John says:

Hi, I’m a bit confused about whether I have molluscum or genital warts. I have 2 visible. In the pictures it looks to me like molluscum. I went to my GP and he assured me it wasn’t genital warts and Said it was molluscum. He offered me treatment but I said I would search it online. Then I was going to do a treatment of what I found online and then thought I’d see another doctor to confirm it was molluscum in case it was just a pimple thing or from shaving and whether the natural treatment is a good idea. I went to another doctor whom I had never met and he didn’t know and sent me to another professional. When he looked he said they were genital warts and then didn’t really ask me if I wanted treatment but just froze it on the spot and gave me something to put on It. I didn’t get time to think about it. When he explained about genital warts and its commonality and that we are “in it together ” he pretty much said once I’ve treated genital warts I’m free to go as normal. Something sounds not right with that.

I went home and am not sure what to think and have read lots of things online. I guess the treatment works on genital warts or molluscum so that is fine. But the hpv that causes genital warts may be ongoing. So what I do after treatment with genital warts when I meet someone is quite different from than if it was molluscum. How can I know for sure? Please help me figure it out.

  8. John says:

My bumps look like your picture of molluscum with the bigger one with the hard centre and a smaller white one next to it. I am worried that I won’t be able to find out for sure. After the freeze it has all blistered red and the centres are still hard white.
I have been able to squeeze white waxy liquid out in past.

    • Greg says:

      Hi John,

Sometimes these sorts of doctors really make me angry because they have no real experience and just jump to conclusions like that and freeze or burn people without giving them any time to assess the situation. What you have described especially in your second message about the whiteness, the consistency, and especially the waxy white liquid makes me lean heavily toward molluscum. Like I have said in previous comments here on my older website, I did not know how to treat molluscum for many years of people asking me about it, UNTIL late last year when I got an especially bad case of it myself. I went though a lot of self experimentation just like I did years ago dealing with warts and in the end, I did develop a combination of methods that worked very well for me after much frustration. At the time of this writing, I do not have a separate molluscum site but plan to in the future to offer a different report on that.

But what I have been doing in the meantime is sending it to anyone who gets my main report/video from my newer site at genitalwartsformula.com – I do not automatically send it (since most people are getting my main report for warts) – but all you have to do is e-mail me after the purchase and let me know you wanted my molluscum report and I’ll send it as soon as I see your message. Same promise applies as always – you can always ask me any question you need while going through the treatment and I’ll be happy to help.

  9. a truly concerned person says:

I have unprotected sex over 14 months ago, about 4 months or more ago I had one white pimple type bump on the shafts of my penis, within 2 months I have a few more and some pin prick type sensation, the bumps are hard small and white, and not really noticeable unless I am erect, they do not turn into open wounds or cuts, recently I was able to pop one and a hard white plug/ core/ root came out and left a tiny crater that has seemed to heal, once the core or plug is removed the tingling stopped, is this herpes? Or worse

    • Greg says:

The “white plug” part of what you said and how the bump reacted to it being removed strongly suggests this is molluscum (NOT a “diagnosis” just a personal opinion based on my own experiences and considering what you said.) In molluscum, the white center part is where the virus literally lives and removing or killing it will usually clear everything up. I say “usually” because the big trick with these sorts of bumps is to remove/kill it WITHOUT accidentally spreading it to another area in the process. Sometimes this can be done by doing what you did, but also sometimes that method can clear that particular bump at the expense of causing another one (or many) somewhere else. I wrote a separate report on how I dealt with molluscum and anyone who gets my main report/video combo from genitalwartsformula.com can have it in addition simply by asking me by email after they purchase. Having this option available is really helpful to people who think they might have warts at first but eventually discover it was molluscum all along.

      • a truly concerned person says:

Could this be a sign of HIV?

        • Greg says:

HIV is a totally different thing and is not related to warts (or molluscum) at all. But if you meant HPV, then that is the virus that causes all types of warts (even the more normal ones some people get on their hands or feet are still caused by a form of HPV) – HPV is in the skin, not the blood which is why normal STD panel tests do not cover it. The only real way I know of to go about treating a bump you’re not sure exactly what it is, is to just start with what should work on a particular case (for example warts or molluscum) and see if those treatments work at clearing it up. If they don’t then you can go from there and try other things. This is exactly the process I’ve always done on myself when trying to get rid of something I’m not 100% sure what it is. This is how I stumbled across my treatment methods for molluscum and a methodical process of elimination is how I went about it on warts back in 2006 when all that was going on with me, which is the whole basis of my report I offer on my websites.

        Hello Greg,

I developed maybe 20-30 of what I think is molluscum, but not so sure.
All I know is that just by drawing my finger nail across it removes a hard tiny transparent white black-head type of thing! I really do not know what to call it or how to describe it any better!
Soonest I take it out, blood comes out. I removed 2 since I was curious and trying to understand hat it is, but then I thought I should stop.
I only have 2 on my shaft skin and the rest mostly right above the pubic region and the rest in the pubic region.
Are these dangerous? Should I get tested for anything?

Thank you, your help on this is very much appreciated.

        • Greg says:

          Hi Tony,

Yeah, it sounds kinda like molluscum to me too. Typically, that white blackhead-like thing you described is a sort of plug that keeps the white paste-like stuff inside the bump. The white paste is what contains the virus for molluscum, therefore popping it and having the contents spread on the nearby skin can definitely help spread the bumps to other nearby areas. I know because I’ve had it spread on me literally overnight before back before I knew to be extremely careful. It seems to be less dangerous if you pop it and then quickly and carefully wipe it off with some toilet paper and then wash the area, but generally its not a good idea to pop them at all because of the risks of it spreading so quickly as I witnessed.

I wouldn’t say it’s “dangerous” but if left unchecked, it probably will not go away on its own, but gradually get worse. I had molluscum for over a year before I even realized what it was. At first I thought it was just some random something that would eventually go away, but months passed and it slowly got worse. Then when I started messing with it is when it got out of hand and went crazy. So yeah in my opinion it’s definitely something worth attacking since it can get out of hand.

As for getting tested for it, a dermatologist is probably your best bet to get it confirmed, but just like with warts, the dermatologists treatments aren’t anything too special. Many of them even say “just leave it alone and it’ll go away eventually” but that is crazy talk in my view for the reasons I stated above. Back in 2014 when I had this, I went through all the normal channels and nothing was working so once again I had to pave my own way through trial and error. Eventually I cleared it up (I had a ton of them like what you describe, maybe 30 I don’t know) – 90% of them will go away within a very short period of time but that last 10% may take you a month or longer to fully clear. I don’t have a separate website for my molluscum report (yet, it’s on my “to do” list) but if you get my warts report from my main site at the link below, just email me afterward and I’ll send you my molluscum report.

          http://www.genitalwartsformula.com/

          Thank you,
          Greg

  10. Larry says:

Great info! I have two of these type bumps that appear on the lower tip of my penis after I have sex. I tried to pop those. Originally, my former girlfriend of 7 months ago and I were very concerned it was Herpes and we were both tested for Types I and II and were negative. Also, tested for V.D. and were negative. Recently, 3 weeks ago my new girlfriend and I had sex for the first time and the bumps appeared again in the same spot a few days ago. They get more bulbous in the shower. I will not pop these but want some reassurance these Molluscums act like this. They are visible and my new girlfriend is bound to notice them. Can I give these to her? Can I get rid of this virus somehow? It keeps hanging on and appears when I am sexually active.

    • Greg says:

      Hi Larry,

This is good question because if this is what I think it might be, lots of guys experience this. These little pimple-like bumps can appear surprisingly quickly after unprotected sex (but will not appear if using a condom) but they are not necessarily STD/STI related. Little pimple-like bumps on the head of the penis after sex can be male yeast infection related (in which case method 1 in my report should clear it up pretty fast, which is something I discovered totally by accident on myself) – but red bumps with a white center that is poppable can also be molluscum related. I’ve had both so I know how hard it can be to tell the difference. Even though they appear after sex, they are NOT STD’s like how things like herpes and warts are considered STDs.

  11. California408 says:

Hi! Thanks for sharing information. My case initially 3 months ago I noticed on my penile shaft, it was one large one and 2 small ones, I had those treated by freezing at first and I never saw another large one appear, however these really tiny ones would appear..they would freak me out..right now 3 months in I’m down to about 3 tiny ones and I’ve already had 2 freezing sessions. Is this is a good sign it’s going away?

I have had sex with my wife a handful of times in the past 3 months but being careful and using good hygiene of course, she is not showing any signs. I hope it’s not spreading at my level.

    • Greg says:

Freezing treatments sometimes work for people long term, but overall they are very “hit or miss” in terms of actually getting the wart root out of the skin. A lot of people I talk to who have had freezing or burning treatments done always have to keep going back to get it done again, again, and again until it finally clears it up or they just give up out of frustration. So because of that I really can’t say whether having 3 tiny ones left is really a good sign or not. The key is in clearing out those roots that are causing them to begin with. The main 2 methods in my report is all about getting down into the skin and attacking the root, eventually shrinking it down to nothing, rather than a more surface treatment such as ACV which only appears to work at first because it burns away the top where you can see.

  12. Adam says:

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for posting this. I read over this blog last night and you really helped me understand what Molluscum Contagiosum is and how it differs from Genital Warts. I went to the health center at my university this morning and met with a Physician Assistant. She determined that the pimples/lesions in my groin area are indeed Molluscum Contagiosum. She gave me two options of either doing Cyrotherapy (freezing) or the cream treatment that I would have to do myself for three days a week for a month, twice a day. I decided to go with the freezing option because I felt more comfortable having a professional detect all of the lesions and freeze all of them. She noted that some of my lesions were bigger than others which is why she believes that I may have to come back for treatment after a month. Do you have suggestions/recommendations for me going forward? Additionally, I want to know more about Molluscum and how it’s contracted–Does Molluscum mean that I have an STD? Does it mean that I must also stop having sex with my girlfriend? Lastly, I want to mention something else that I feel like may be a contributing factor to Molluscum–I bite almost everyday on my knuckles (the skin on the knuckles). It’s a terrible habit I have that I researched online and it’s called Dermatophagia. I am wondering if perhaps biting on my skin would make me consume bacteria, and that bacteria contributing to my Molluscum. It’s something I thought about and was wondering if you think that’s possible at all. Either way, I definitely need to quit biting on my fingers and end it today. Please help, Greg.

    • Greg says:

      Hi Adam,

I’ve been out of town so it has taken me awhile to get to your message. Anyway, to quickly answer your questions: 1. Molluscum is spread by direct skin contact with a bump or even one in development, OR contact with the white stuff inside where the virus actually lives. For that reason it can be very easy to spread as I know from personal experience treating mine last year. 2. No, it does not mean you have an STD or STI, however molluscum CAN spread that way, but it doesn’t exclusively HAVE to spread that way. So really it’s just a skin infection that spreads via direct contact with it or the white stuff inside. 3. Yes, you should stop having sexual contact until its all the way gone. 4. No, I have no idea whether the knuckle biting habit contributes in any way to the molluscum. The only other thing I’ll add is that if the freezing treatment fails to get all of it, and if you’d like to try something different, you can come back and get my report and then email me and I can send you my molluscum report and you can try the same methods I developed when I was treating mine last year (I made sure to track my actions very closely while doing it because I’ve had so many people ask me about molluscum over the years I wanted to find a real solution to it instead of just reading what other people wrote online, which frankly wasn’t much help when I had to deal with it myself)

The site to get the latest version of my report is here (link below) and then just email me afterward and ask for the molluscum report:

I haven’t had sex since September of last year and today I noticed a bump on my torso. I went to medical and they think it’s genital warts, but they said they aren’t sure if it is or not. They gave me some acid to put on it before I sleep. I did my research and my bumps look more like molluscum then genital warts. Can you help?

  14. Danish says:

Hi,there are more than 100 small or medium mollusca around my thigh trunk and around penis, they are not itcy, pain free but they make me depressed every time I see them and wonder if I have hiv .I never went to doctor for the treatment but using brevoxyl cream which I guess doesn’t seem to help.o just wanna know are they dangerous or normal.and its too humid and warm here.

    • Greg says:

Yeah, the creams the doctor gives people rarely seem to do much good, which is why a lot of people come to me for info on this that works more reliably. I emailed you privately yesterday

  15. Ella says:

I have these warts on my legs… I have caught them in the past they bleed and then they go?
    What’s causes them?
    Kind regards

    • Greg says:

All warts, regardless of location, are caused by HPV (human papillomavirus) and generally speaking certain types of HPV are more likely to cause warts in certain locations than others. There are certain types of HPV that primarily cause genital warts, which is often different from the types that cause other types of warts on the hand or foot. Warts are almost always spread by direct skin to skin contact with an infected area.

If you are sure what you have are warts and not something else (people mistake different things for warts quite often) then method 2 in my report would be your best bet for warts on the legs.

  16. Sam says:

Hi, about a month and a half ago I noticed two little pimple right next to each in my pubic area and thought nothing of it because I have had pimples down there before. After a few weeks I started to become worried because not only did it not go away, but a few smaller ones cropped up. I have since been to get checked out and the nurse practitioner said that it was MC and used acid on them. I regret this because it doesn’t seem to be working and now I have scarring on my penis and pubic hair. I am going to try the ACV, but would love for you to give me a second option for I don’t trust the diagnosis or treatment from the nurse. From what I can tell most doctors just see a bump and jump into burning or freezing them off.

    • Greg says:

      Hi Sam,

After a long time, I have FINALLY started to get the new website set up for my molluscum report and I’ll include a link to it below. Since I’m still in the beginning stages of it, there are still a lot of pages to create and whatnot, but the front page is working and the delivery mechanism for getting my report works fine.

As for your experience with molluscum, yes a lot of doctors just see a bump and then jump straight to the acid as a go-to method. That obviously isn’t the best approach for everyone, but that’s how they’ve chosen to standardize their procedure. Try what you’ve started so far, and if the results aren’t what you want, then please do give my molluscum report a try – the at-home methods I discovered through a LOT of trial and error worked very well for me and I had around 20-30 individual bumps which were a nightmare to keep under control. But it worked and now I’ve been clear of molluscum ever since with no signs of it anywhere. So far, this combination of methods has worked very well with everyone I have shared it with, and I would be very interested to hear about your results as well:

      Thank you!

    Hey Greg ,

I am a 28 year old and I have white pimples on my penis , painless , non-itchy.
How do i determine if its fordyce spots or Molluscum Contagiosum.

Its been there for around 2 months now.

    • Greg says:

I’ve been in this exact situation before 🙂 It can be VERY difficult to tell the difference between molluscum and fordyce because they can both have similar white paste-like stuff under the bump – HOWEVER – molluscum will tend to grow and spread over time whereas fordyce will just develop in a particular spot and stay that way. Fordyce is not contagious at all and are typically smaller than molluscum and develop in patterns up and down the shaft. Fordyce tends to be in nice neat little patterns whereas molluscum will be scattered seemingly at random. And if the bumps have a white top similar to a pimple, then I would lean more toward molluscum than fordyce because fordyce is often skin colored on top even if it has some white stuff on the inside if popped. It is usually painful to pop a fordyce bump (if it even gets big enough to do so to begin with, which is kinda rare) while much less pinching force would be required to pop molluscum, in my experience. That last bit is just a generalization and may not apply in all cases. Most people’s fordyce bumps are not poppable at all while molluscum almost always becomes poppable at some point during its growth.

Anyway, I hope some of those general guidelines help narrow it down and if you think it might be molluscum, be sure to go try my new molluscum report, which is based off my own successful experience with dealing with it back in late 2014.

The site is not done yet as of the time I’m writing this, but it is functional enough that anyone can get the report right now and get started on their treatment

Hi I have a few questions about molluscum i noticed about 4 or 5 months ago around my private area. I recently went to the Dr and my dr took a look and first thing he said was looks like molluscum but he noticed a few more bumps around them to witch are a little bit smaller and sorta like a pimple form . And said well possibly genital warts cause of the area their in. Actually on the paper he sent home with me said (most likely )or skin tags …. They look like some molluscum pictures online i hope it is molluscum and not genital warts. He sent me home a nervous wreck . Didn’t really explain molluscum to me . And basically said he’s shooting more towards warts cause of the area ?? Idk I’m freaking out about it but the pics I see doesn’t look like warts to me

    • Greg says:

      Hi Sue,

The Doctor’s first hunch was probably more correct. Warts and molluscum are not “location dependent” – meaning, just because there is something that looks like molluscum in an area that is possible to have genital warts, does not automatically mean they are warts instead. If they look like molluscum, that could very well be what it is. Of course I can’t say myself over here just based on that description, etc, but if it IS molluscum, my warts report won’t do you any good – however, if you’ve been reading the stream of comments on my site, you may have noticed that I did eventually develop a molluscum report based on my own experience treating it back in late 2014. For a long time I had no idea how to treat it, but having it myself allowed me to go through a lot of experimentation to finally find out a combination of methods that work at clearing even the worst case within about a month.

At the time I’m posting this, my molluscum site is not yet done so there are some incomplete blank pages, etc, so please ignore that, however the report itself is done and is available at the following site I made just for molluscum:

  19. really concerned person says:

Hello Greg, I am having this pimple like boils, few skin coloured and few filled with pus in my groin for 2 months now. I consulted a gynecologist since I thought it is some kind of STD due to unprotected sex, but the Dr. suggested that it might be due to unhygienic shaving practice and gave me antibiotics shots. But it is still persisting. Please suggest me any solution, should I refer to the dermatologist

    • Greg says:

      Hello,

Of course I can’t say what that might be just from a simple description, but it does sound like it could be molluscum. In situations like these where its not clear, I personally always opt to experiment, so if you wanted to get my molluscum report and try that, that is one option. Another good option would be to go to the dermatologist and get it confirmed as molluscum (or something else) and if it is molluscum, my report for that will work FAR better than anything else I know of (I can say this because in late 2014 I had a really bad case and actually did try everything that is usually talked about until I had to develop my own methods by experimentation)

At the time I am writing this, my molluscum site is largely incomplete, however the ordering system and report delivery DOES work fine, so if you want to get it at some point in the future, just go here and use the form on the front page to start the order process. Of course like everything else I offer, it comes with my full support by email should you ever need to ask me anything specific.

  20. General says:

Hey, I had unprotected oral sex with a street hooker after 2-3 days I developed a single red/pinkish lesion it was a little bit of white in the middle I went to a dermatologist and he took a look and quicklie said it looks like molluscum and sprayed it with liquid nitrogen a couple of times and it went away. I then researched online and figured molluscum has a dent in the middle mine did not have this was this a genital wart??? Please help me thank you

    • Greg says:

Not necessarily. Molluscum CAN have a dent in the middle, but it does not have to. The most noticeable sign of molluscum is the white area in the middle that contains the white pus-like substance which is where the MCV virus lives. Molluscum is often mistaken for pimples for this reason and also can be mistaken for fordyce spots, which I’ve done myself since the two can look so much alike.

  21. General says:

Thanks bro you have put my mind at east I just have a few questions after the dermatologist sprayed it the first time I went back and told
Him are you sure it was molluscum he then sprayed with liquid nitrogen and I remember I seen a little dent while he was spraying it with liquid nitrogen can this confirm it was molluscum? Also it was like dome shaped and a tiny bit of white inside, does this sound like molluscum I’ve been stressed for a whole year thanks greg

  22. General says:

and just a few questions more:

    1) what are the different characteristics between molluscum and HPV?

    2) is it possible molluscum can just be fully red with no white core?

    3) I went to a dermatologist after 20 days after I developed the lesion if it was a wart would it have grown?

    4) it looked more like a pimple, so can 100% say it was molluscum from your experience thanks Greg this means a lot bro

    • Greg says:

      1. It’s a different virus entirely and therefore requires a different treatment. I wrote a separate report on how to get rid of molluscum which is totally different from my warts report. The main visual difference between molluscum and warts is the white tip area where the molluscum virus lives and spreads by. Sometimes they can look like a skin colored “bubble” on top of the skin, or they can also look similar to pimples or even be confused with fordyce spots. They can be on you for months or even years without spreading and then all of a sudden spread and start getting larger, which is what happened with me before I was forced to figure out how to successfully treat them.

      2. Yes it’s possible for them to just be a red bump but they might have a hard center. They can have the white core deep inside where you can’t see.

      3. Not necessarily. The amount of time someone has it is no real indication of what it is. Some people have it for years and it stays the same while others have it spread out of control very quickly.

      4. Looking more like a pimple will lean me more toward molluscum than warts, yes. It’s not “proof” but its another indicator that helps narrow it down while you experiment with treatments like the ones in my warts report or molluscum report.

      Thank you,
      Greg

  23. General says:

Thanks Greg means a lot can you just answer these other questions to please

    1) the Dermatologist said it was molluscum and used liquid nitrogen on it when I went home I researched and realized that when they spray it you can see the dent in it when they use the spray I went the second time he sprayed it and I seen a dent while he used liquid nitrogen does this confirm it’s molluscum?

2)I’m 22 years old when I was 16 I had a unknown women give me unprotected oral. A couple of days later I developed a single pimple like lesion and I remember I poped it and white kinda thing and blood came out i didn’t go to the doctor and I didn’t get it diagnosed I just left it and it went away slowly I’m now 22 and I had another unprotected oral from a unknown women and this red/ pinkish lesion popped up beside the same place as last time I went to the derm and he said it was molluscum from the history does it
Sound like he made the right diagnose, is it HPV or molluscum

  24. Joshua says:

Hi. I have like that in my butt so what is it?

    • Greg says:

      Hi Joshua,

If you have molluscum contagiosum in or around your anal area, then the treatments in my molluscum report should still work for that. I still don’t have the site done yet, but if you go to molluscumreport.com you can get it which comes with my full email support if you ever need to ask any questions during your treatment.

  25. Chloe S says:

    Hi,

I went to my primary doctor because I got only in my bikini area what I thought was razor burn but wasn’t 100% sure turned out to be Molluscum. She prescribed me a cream to use for a few weeks. They have turned very red, & are flaking off (YAY!) But then… I noticed one forming on my buttocks, look like a raised red bump with a white head in the middle, I thought maybe for sure that one was a pimple. So I treated it like a pimple, it wasn’t going away… So then I knew it must’ve spread. Then I noticed another one, & another one. Used the medicine on it, but now I have skin colored bumps on my Libia pretty much very close to my clittoris. Skin colored I’ve looked very closely with a mirror & I don’t see a dent in the middle or a core of any sort… But at the very top is a perfectly round white bump, very small. Could this also be Molluscum spreading?! Can it go to that area?! Can Molluscum be just a white bump??? I’ve been crying & freaking out that it’s HPV due to Google searches & it says a white bump is a wart. I’m scared as crap… Also before all of these bumps even ever appeared I’ve been in & out of seeing MANY different doctors & my primary getting checked out & tested for everything because since July of 2018 I had a vagina & anal itch that would not go away! But none of them could figure it out. Now that I have the bumps, it seems the itch has gone away, can your skin be itchy without the bumps? Or could it really be HPV… Please help me figure this out. (Everything has come back negative blood work & pelvic exams but I noticed recently the one thing I wasn’t tested for was HPV why?” Thank you…

    • Greg says:

      Hi Chloe,

Sorry it has taken me longer than usual to write you back. It would be better to write me directly from my main site about this (genitalwartsformula.com) since it might get a little involved, especially for a public post like this, but I can say a few general things here. Yes the look you are describing with the white top bump is one of the looks molluscum can appear as. So just from that description it would be had to say, but since you already had molluscum elsewhere, it would be safer to lean toward this being related to that instead of being HPV genital warts. At least that’s the direction I would lean based on the info you gave. You probably noticed I have a report on molluscum contagiosum as well, so if your cream isn’t working on these, you might want to give mine a try and see if it does any better. Anyway, I can be reached more directly at my main site if you want to go into more detail at some point.

Here is the link to my (as of yet unfinished) molluscum site, but the report is there and the checkout system works, I just haven’t had time to flesh out the main part of the site yet:

      https://molluscumreport.com/

And my main site is here:

      https://genitalwartsformula.com/

There’s a contact page there that goes straight to my inbox.

  26. Sameer says:

How can you tell if it’s molluscum or herpes or wart or syphills?

    • Greg says:

      Hi Sameer,

It can be difficult to tell the difference sometimes. It’s tedious, but one of the best ways is to just compare what you have to a lot of photos online and see what it most resembles. If you would like to contact me directly about it, just go to my main site here and use the Contact Greg form and your message will go straight to my personal email:

      http://genitalwartsformula.com/

  27. Sameer says:

My bump looked like Molluscum but without the dimple in the Center.the dermatologist treated it with liquid nitrogen but didn’t test it. It went away but if it was herpes or syphills would it still go away with liquid nitrogen?

  28. Sameer says:

Yeah it went away but does Molluscum always have to have a dimple in the Center? If it doesn’t have a dimple in the middle would that mean it’s a genital wart?

  29. Dylan says:

    Hi Greg,

I recently noticed some bumps in my pubic area, and several tiny ones on the shaft of my penis. They are round and white, some with a pearly type look. The small ones on the penis itself look like tiny pimples.

I had unprotected sex 10 months ago with a prostitute, and protected sex with many prostitutes 6 months ago, so I freaked out and went to the doctor

The doctor *immediately* diagnosed it as Molluscum. I had cryotherapy just today.

    Few questions:

    1) I am scared I actually have warts from HPV. Do you think this is MC? I have very good photos.

    2) Is the freezing usually fairly successful, and how long after the procedure do you start to see results? It doesn’t look much different now other than being red and a bit irritated. I really hope it works

    3) Could this really have been dormant 6-10 months before showing up, or did I randomly get this somewhere else

    Thanks!

    • Greg says:

      Hi Dylan,

I’ll email you about this directly. It’s really not possible for me to answer these sorts of questions via the comments form on my site.

      Thank you,
      Greg

  30. Khan says:

Hey Greg I recieved unprotected oral from a hooker i got single round bump on my penis. I
Don’t remember it having a dent in the middle but when I went to a dermatologist he told me to stretch the skin around the bump. When I stretched the skin around the bump that’s when I seen a little dent like it caved in. Why did the dermatologist tell me to stretch the skin? Why did I only see the middle cave in only after I stretched it? Thanks

    • Greg says:

He was probably just wanting you to get a better, more clear look at it. There’s not enough information here to tell what it might be, but if you want to send me a picture, just go to my main site at genitalwartsformula.com and send me a message from there and then I’ll reply and you can send a picture if you want. If not, that’s fine too, but sometimes this stuff is just too complex to describe over text.

  31. Khan says:

I’ve been so stressed I deleted the picture i don’t have it anymore. The only person that could I rely on is the dermatologist I’m just worried it could of been herpes or a a genital wart. Can herpes be a single raised round bump?

  32. Khan says:

But Greg if i stretched the skin and I seen a dent in the middle would that indicate its mollluscum? What’s the apprence difference from a genital wart and Molluscum? And if I stretched the skin of a genital wart would there be a dent in the middle? Thanks reply back I need help! Thanks

    • Greg says:

Yes, a dent in the middle CAN indicate molluscum but I really can’t say much without actually seeing an example. E-mail me privately about it if you want to get into more detail. The public comments section isn’t really good for that.
